My thanks to those of you who participated in
the "@sk
Megan Campaign"! I have answered your questions in this
audio format. I believe answers should always be kept
short but all of you have asked questions I hear quite often, so I
wanted to provide as much helpful information as possible.

From Donna:
What are your thoughts about gold right now? If I were to buy gold, in what form should I buy it?

From Sherry:
My husband and I currently have our money in
money market funds because we believe the market will drop even
more than it already has. However, I recently heard Suze
Orman say that anyone who is still at least 10 years away from
retirement should keep investing in the stock market. Also, years ago I remember being urged by the mutual fund
industry to
continue buying funds in both up and down markets. I know
you have a different “take” on all of this. Could
you please explain?

From Mary Beth:
My husband and I are both retired and living
solely on our investments. We are doing O.K., but our portfolio is down
considerably. We
know better than to liquidate everything at this time, but
it’s very difficult to sit by and watch as things atrophy. At
what point should we begin to worry and when can we expect
things to return to “normal”?
From Jay and Teresa:
I’m 54 years old and “hoping” to retire or
at the very least, scale back my work load in the near future. My retirement account lost 40% of its value this past
year. Should I cash out or hold on? Teresa asks a similar
question: Should we take money out of under performing funds now
and put it in a tax-free savings account or other cash
equivalents, or should we just “ride it out”?

What's your opinion of Peter Schiff's view on
getting out of US dollars completely and holding foreign
